want motivation
It is never easy getting started. Sometimes you don't know where to start.A boat never gets anywhere tied to a pillar. In my experience, once you have put something down on paper, things often start falling into place. Get started with those pet portraits !!

RE: want motivation
I find that I never have the confidence to draw anything, even though I know I can. When I am looking for things to copy, I am not very good at choosing, how do I get my confidence in drawing up, and what is the best thing to start with?

Try to pick easy things to draw to start off with so as to get your confidence up. As your confidence grows, you will find it easier to choose different subjects. It is all about training your eye to see and transfer that through to your pencil. Anyone can draw with patience and perserverance. Don't give up. I have started a series in the "tips" forums, if not in this forum, it will be in the http://www.petportraits.co.cc forum.
